About HRM

Hospital Radio Medway (HRM for short) has been broadcasting to the patients and staff of hospitals in Medway for 40 years. Originally we broadcast to 5 hospitals (Medway, St Barts, St Williams, All Saints & Canada House) but with the consolidation of services we now broadcast to most wards in the Medway Maritime Hospital.

We are lucky to have 2 broadcast studios, a record library, a kitchen area and an engineering bay in our in the basement of the hospital. Over 50 volunteers combine their spare time and love of radio to produce a range of programmes specifically to help patients through their stay in the hospital.

HRM is proud to be part of the Medway League of Friends. We rely on the kind generosity of local people & companies to help keep our radio service running, through donations of equipment, local outside broadcasts, fete appearances, provision of PA services, programme sponsorship & more.
