If you have some spare time on your hands how about helping us to run Hospital Radio Medway? We're looking for new members and in return for your help, you’ll get the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping people in hospital and you might even make some new friends – we’re a friendly bunch here at HRM ! Have a look through the following positions and see where you could help:

Request Collector/Ward Representative: every evening our Request Show is on-air playing 2 hours of patient requests. Request collectors go to the wards, spend time with patients and collect their requests personally.

Engineer: our dedicated engineers help fix problems, install new equipment, set up fund-raising events, put up shelves and much more. Whether you are good at DIY or a qualified engineer, we’d really appreciate your help in our engineering team.

Programme Support: we always need people to find records in the library, index new CDs, research news, sport and other items of on-air interest, even make the tea & coffee! You don’t need any experience, just visit the studio and find out more.

On-air Presenters: presenting an interesting & entertaining radio programme is a definite skill, but it’s a skill you can learn. If you have a clear speaking voice and would like to host one of our many programmes (after an induction period) we would love to hear from you. We also need people to read & compile news & sport bulletins and to present on-air features.

Fund-Raising: we ask all of our members to get involved in fund-raising for the station. HRM is a charity and we need to raise money throughout the year to keep running. If you would like to help us shake a collecting tin or find new ways to bring in the funds, please get in contact.
