Hospital Radio Medway was founded back in 1970 by a local man called Brian Faulkner. Soon afterwards he was joined by a small group of presenters who started Medway's hospital radio station as we know it today. Over the last 50 years, thousands of local volunteers have been involved in broadcasting programmes which have been specially produced for patients to help them through their stay. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our team of presenters, programme assistants, ward reps, engineers and librarians visit the HRM-FM studios to broadcast programmes especially for the hospital patients. We know what it's like to be in hospital, so we try to make patients' stay just a little bit better. If you want to visit us, we've got 2 broadcast studios, a library and a kitchen in the basement of Medway Maritime Hospital.
